Part of the team is on holidays this week. The rest of us focused on:
-
We reached a point where our integration branch compiles all the way through, passing all the existing tests. From there, we started working in two directions:
-
Distilling small PRs for the consensus team to start reviewing, so far:
-
Integrating these changes into the Peras testnet and start validating our implementation as early as possible. This is currently in pause while we fix some breaking changes in our current usage of
cardano-node.
-
-
We joined the Consensus weekly meeting to discuss the implications of ticking the node state across multiple epochs at once. This is something that currently happens on several test-suites, but should never happen in production. This allowed Peras to be lenient and safely ignore such cases by reinitializing its internal state.
-
We werged ouroboros-consensus#2107 to fix a bunch of issues in the Genesis tests, that were unearthed during Peras development.
-
We continued iterating on the logistics of the next part of the project (making Peras mainnet-ready), focused on understanding missing requirements and defining suitable milestones.
