Weekly Report: 2025-08-29

Most of the team is/was on vacation this week.

  • Finalized initial implementation of certificate diffusion: PR #1615

  • Wrote up interactions between the HFC and Peras at era boundaries: issue #92

    These will need to be addressed eventually, but they are not blocking the near-term implementation.

  • Discussed development approach in the presence of other experimental feature (Nested Transactions/Leios/Phalanx).

    Agreement was reached to merge the features continually as they are developed, while gating them behind feature flags while they are still experimental. This avoids the need for long-running branches.

    The Peras team will work on propagating a set of feature flags to the ecosystem: issue #96
